Minecraft Hits 3,000,000!

Markus Persson, creator of Mojang’s wildly sucssessful indy game “Minecraft” has just recently reported via twitter that Minecraft has sold its 3,000,000th copy! This is great news for the small developer and an important achievement on the path to a wider gaming audience. Congratulations Minecraft! 😀

There have been few updates related to the full game (Minecraft has been in beta for a long time) to be released in November 2011, but we will keep you posted!

“Minecraft is said to have generated £35 million in revenue for its small swedish developer Mojang. The game will finally be leaving its beta phase this November, when it will be officially released. Minecraft is also coming to Xbox Live Arcade later this year.” -Phil (Botchweed.com)
