Which Hogwarts House Would You Be In?
Lets be honest, the sorting hat is basically a personality test.
I’ve had several discussions with friends on this topic lately, and I’ve come to the realization that the house I thought the sorting hat would place me in as a child might not be the right choice. Or at least the “right choice” has changed in the many years since the post owl got lost in a storm and didn’t deliver my acceptance letter… Unreliable, owls.
As a child, I assumed I would be in Gryffindor. I related with the gryffindors in the books at the time, but as an adult I think that Slytherin is where I might actually belong. Is it odd that I feel like that is almost a shameful admission? I think there are so many negative connotations with Slytherins, but I also see ambition, cunning, self preservation, resourcefulness, determination, power, leadership, tradition… Those aren’t all bad, right?
As Hagrid says, you might think “There’s not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn’t in Slytherin,” but that’s not entirely true. Not every Slytherin was a Death Eater. Not only were there plenty of screw-ups outside of Slytherin, but there are also many great Slytherins who didn’t mow people down with green flames and curses. Perhaps being a Slytherin isn’t so bad – I just need to find some more Slytherin friends (most of my friends are Ravenclaws, and I love them dearly). 😉
Which Hogwarts house would you bein? Let me know!

I don’t really know, as I haven’t read all the books, and for the ones I have read, it has been years. From what I could gather, I would guess Ravenclaw for myself.

Went and found what seems to be a pretty decent sorting quiz. It gave me Ravenclaw. It said my in-depth results were:
Ravenclaw – 13
Hufflepuff – 12
Gryffindor – 11
Slytherin – 8
Intelligent, Witty, Capable? I’ll take it.
Your results are understandable. Part of the problem I think is that most people could fit into multiple houses just fine (evidenced by your results). I would take a quiz, but ain’t nobody got time for that. Plus I’ve read the books multiple times, so I have a pretty good idea where I could belong. I could see myself being in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw as well. If there was a house with a Bear as it’s mascot, that would be the one for me. 😉
And… my heart hurts knowing you haven’t read the books! Deep… soul rending sorrow… <3
😛
Well…they’re on my list? XD I haven’t replaced the books with the movies either because…I think Goblet was the last one of those I saw. And Phoenix was the last book I read. You can be the first to know when I read them all. ^-^
